A Spoken Dialogue Model Based on Extended Lambek Calculus
نویسندگان
چکیده
Current domain specific or task-oriented human-computer dialogue systems are tightly bound with applications. The success of the strategy in one domain often does not ensure the success of the same strategy in other domains. To apply a strategy of one domain to another can be as difficult as exploring in a new domain. We present a spoken dialogue model based on extended Lambek calculus, which aims to solve the problem of understating complex sentences in a dialogue. This may pave the way towards applying a common strategy in different domains.

Relational Semantics of the Lambek Calculus Extended with Classical Propositional Logic
We show that the relational semantics of the Lambek calculus, both nonassociative and associative, is also sound and complete for its extension with classical propositional logic. Then, using filtrations, we obtain the finite model property for the nonassociative Lambek calculus extended with classical propositional logic.
متن کاملOn the expressive power of the Lambek calculus extended with a structural modality
We consider EL, the product-free associative Lambek calculus (Lambek, 1958) extended with a structural modality à la Girard (Girard, 1987), which allows the left strucrural rules (weakening, contraction, and exchange) to be performed in a controlled way. We show that any recursively enumerable language can be described by a categorial grammar based on EL. As an immediate corollary, we get the u...
متن کاملOn-Line Learning of a Persian Spoken Dialogue System Using Real Training Data
The first spoken dialogue system developed for the Persian language is introduced. This is a ticket reservation system with Persian ASR and NLU modules. The focus of the paper is on learning the dialogue management module. In this work, real on-line training data are used during the learning process. For on-line learning, the effect of the variations of discount factor (g) on the learning speed...

متن کاملLambek Calculus Proofs and Tree Automata
We investigate natural deduction proofs of the Lambek calculus from the point of view of tree automata. The main result is that the set of proofs of the Lambek calculus cannot be accepted by a finite tree automaton. The proof is extended to cover the proofs used by grammars based on the Lambek calculus, which typically use only a subset of the set of all proofs. While Lambek grammars can assign...
